Cofounder & Director of Operations
Anestis co-founded Rhode Island Solar Solutions in 2014. As Director of Operations, he makes sure each step in the solar installation process is handled in a timely and efficient manner. He oversees Human Resources, IT, and Finance to ensure effective coordination and communication on a daily basis.
Anestis was a small business entrepreneur and financial investor on Wall Street for 10 years. He holds an MBA in Finance and Investments from the City University of New York, where he attended the Zicklin School of Business.
Anestis’ passion for renewable energy stems from his love of sailing. He grew up sailing on the coast of Greece and taught at the Herreshoff Museum in Bristol, RI. He is also a nationally ranked table tennis athlete in the U.S.

Mike co-founded Rhode Island Solar Solutions in 2014. As Director of Business Development, he ensures that our sales teams are delighting our customers at every step. Mike utilizes his 20+ years of sales experience to improve services, train our staff, and expedite processes.
Before he started RISS, Mike specialized in helping small, boutique companies increase their sales activity and revenue. Now he’s dedicated to providing top-notch solar installation services to every resident and business owner in the state of Rhode Island.

Matt joined our team in 2015 as part of our sales team. He guides our customers in their solar journey, from the initial call to installation and interconnection. Matt attended Johnson and Wales University and was a chef for thirty years, working in restaurants across the country. His experience utilizing natural ingredients made him into a nature lover, which drove him to a career in renewable energy. Matt believes, “we should leave our environment better than we found it, and converting to solar is a simple, yet high-impact way to accomplish that goal.”
Karen joined our sales team at RI Solar Solutions in 2015. She focuses on educating homeowners on the mechanics and benefits of solar, helping each customer satisfy their personal needs. She had been a middle school teacher for 30 years. Karen believes that energy independence and decreasing environmental pollution is “a perfect combination” for smart investments and healthy communities.
